Slaven Bilic put the last gasp loss of a point at Selhurst Park firmly on the shoulders of a bad decision by Michail Antonio as the Irons slumped to what feels like the umpteenth last gasp defeat.

He was careful not to personalise his remarks claiming that “we  made the wrong decision” but of course it was the Hammer of the Year who was in control of the ball as the game went into its final stage with just seconds left.

And afterwards he said: “We knew that the game was not over at 2-0 up at half-time. I am very disappointed with the penalty, but the way we conceded the leveller was very disappointing.

“We needed to keep the ball and we made the wrong decision, with Michail Antonio choosing to cross the ball rather than keep it.

“We have to manage the game on the pitch. The game was finished.”
