Darren Randolph has come in for much criticism along the way with calls for the Spaniard to again regain the first team sweater.
There have been no ‘leaks’ as to what Slav may do but it won’t come as a big surprise if he rests Randolph for a game which is of crucial importance to the team’s seasons.
With just Jose Fonte and James Collins available as the central defensive pairing the manager is likely to go for flat back four with Sam Byram on the right side and possibly Arhtur Masuaku on the left.
That would allow Cheik Kouyate to take up his more effective central midfield role alongside captain mark Noble with Robert Snodgrass wide right and Andre Ayew on the left side with Manu Lanzini tucked in behind Andy Carroll.
Hammers possible line up: Adrian; Byram, Collins, Fonte, Masuaku; Snodgrass, Noble, Kouyate, Ayew; Lanzini and Carroll.
