Slaven Bilic is set to be wearing ‘Manchester Red’ on Cup Final day …on behalf of West Ham United!

The Irons are currently in sixth place – at the moment the final Europa League qualifying spot, and one point ahead of Liverpool with only four games remaining.

Victory for United over Crystal Palace in next month’s FA Cup final would see an additional Europa League slot allocated to the Premier League, increasing West Ham’s chances of European football.

And speaking to FourFourTwo the Irons boss said: “Of course, we would like to see Manchester United win the FA Cup to give us a cushion.

“Everything is in our hands, so we would rather do it ourselves than wait a week after the season and be a Manchester United fan.” We remain eight points adrift of fourth placed Arsenal meaning Champions League qualification is unlikely.

The Hammers manager continued: “We are still approaching each game as it comes, starting with West Brom. We have a full squad and it’s a big boost for us.

“Top six is a target and has been for quite a while. With four games to go, we have a little gap but we can’t afford to lose games” Bilic’s side travel to West Brom on Saturday and still have to play Swansea and Louis van Gaal’s men at Upton Park, finishing the season away to Stoke on 15th May.
