Bilic: “We deserved to win”

Slaven Bilic admitted that although the performance left something to be desired the Hammers deserved to win a low quality affair against Sunderland.

The boss declared: “They played some nice football in the second half but we hit the post twice and deserved to win the game.

“We didn’t play great and I told them at half time. We we really up for it -maybe it was the early kick off but we were flat. Not completely but a little bit.

“We were sloppy at times and it’s never certain if you don’t get the second goal but we certainly deserved to win the game.”
