West Ham will be making no improved contract offers to players coming out of their current deals until the end of this season.

The board has fully accepted the reality of possible relegation and have decided there is no  point in making until we know which league we will be playing in.

A key source has made it clear to CandH on three occasions there will be no change of management now or indeed should we drop.

Indeed one told us that the Palace decision to sack Viera was a sign of panic and it was a road down which the Hammers weren’t prepared to travel.

And he added that there could and would not be any offers of new deals until season end as it wasn’t realistic given the uncertainty of our position.

It means that the likes of Lukas Fabianski, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell, Ben Johnson will be available on frees and others including Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio will be left with a year to go.
