Bowen’s England fate revealed

Jarrod Bowen HAS made it into the England squad.

Reports this morning suggested that the Hammers winger was set to miss out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the upcoming Nations League games against Italy and Germany.

However, those reports are wide of the mark and Bowen will be travelling with the squad to take on the two European powerhouses in the Nations League.

It raises his hopes of making the plane to Qatar, too, despite a rocky start to the season that has seen him fail to score or assist in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, Southgate has stuck with the ex-Hull winger as part of his attacking options, in a squad that has relied more on names than form.

Indeed, the likes of Harry Maguire, Conor Coady, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw have all made the squad, despite indifferent or just downright terrible starts to the campaign.

Declan Rice is now a fixture in the squad and is also included.
