Brady: She just doesn’t get it does she?

I’m gonna give Lady Brady the benefit of the doubt and accept that she is simply one of those people that likes to wind it up for its own sake.

But if that’s her mission in writing for the awful Sun she really does need to be a little more careful in choosing her targets.

We have written on several occasions that in her job as West Ham’s vice chairman that column – plus occasionally her politics – opens her up to charges of a conflict of interests.

I certainly believe that is the case!

But this morning in discussing the club’s activities in the transfer market she goes into an area which could prove to be very unwise indeed when using Robert Snodgrass as a scapegoat.

Discussing out winter action in the window she says: “We’ve paid for ill-fitting players. Robert Snodgrass wasn’t exactly a triumph, while Hammers fans could name several foreign players who added little.”

This isn’t the first time Snodgrass has been hung out to dry with David Sullivan publicly declaring that his kids had begged him not to sign him. The Scottish winger gave a perfect response: “Thank you Mr Chairman!”

But Brady’s latest snipe appears to disregard one possibly important issue: With a new manager in place there is no guarantee that the player may return to West Ham at the end of his Aston Villa loan and find himself involved again.

Even if that’s not the case it really is pretty bad form to keep slagging off one of your own employees and diminishing their possible transfer value!

That she also wants Harry Kane to keep smashing in goals for Spurs – “unless they are against West Ham” seems like just another wind up as she describes her New Year Wish list.

May I offer just one of my wishes for January 1…that Ms Brady gives up her column and The Sun – it really doesn’t serve any genuine purpose!
