West Ham Vice Chairman Karren Brady has used her football diary in the Sun Newspaper to advise Slaven Bilic that we need greater experience in defence and better consistency to move up the Premier League table next season.

Her comments on experience have been seen as a big hint that the deal to bring the experienced Pablo Zabaleta is all but done. He is expected to join the Hammers on a two-year contract on mega wages with a mutual option for an additional year.

Brady also re-enforced the club’s intention to raise the London Stadium capacity to 60,000 next season.

Brady penned in her Sun column “AS THE season draws to a close, so does our first year at the London Stadium — and the good news is that West Ham have a further 98 years there. The stadium has been sold out for every match  and we intend to  raise the capacity to 60,000 next season. Manager Slaven Bilic has to believe that  experience in defence and greater consistency will move us up the table at least to where we were in 2016. Meanwhile, the season drifts to a close for us at Burnley on Sunday.”
