Discussing the Hammers season ahead of today’s game on Sky Sports he said: ” When we conceded four against Watford the confidence went and when that goes it affects everything.
“It affects training, quality on the ball, passing, absolutely everything and I have to start taking players aside and asking what’s the matter – do you have personal problems because that’s my job.
“There were a combination of reasons for our poor start, some were back late and didn’t have a pre-season, there were injuries, a move to a new stadium but all of that in the end is my responsibility.
“We all had to stay calm and it passed and now we are looking ok. At Everton I want to carry on exactly where we left off against Chelsea. We are good and buzzy now.”
