West Ham have tonight confirmed that calamity goalkeeper Roberto Jiminez looks set for a loan move back to Spain with Alaves.

Having signed Darren Randolph as the new Number Two to Lukasz Fabianski the club has moved quickly and the Roberto switch looks likely to happen as early as Monday.

A source inside the London Stadium told CandH by e mail: “It’s a good move from all points of view as he needs to play whilst a loan move would allow us to get him into the shop window as he has 18 months left on his contract with us.”

Roberto’s move to the Hammers is one of the most disastrous of recent years with most believing that his form was a major reason behind the club’s shocking run of form under Manuel Pellegrini.

He will likely replace Antonio Sivera at Alaves who is reported to be on his way to Almeria on loan.
