Call-ups for Irons duo may not be the answer

With an overlong international break making life more than a little difficult given our current difficulties, the calls to bring on the kids have been heard loud and clear.

Nathan Holland’s name is usually the first mentioned but given Roberto’s lack of form, on loan 20 year old Nathan Trott is also being considered as a replacement for the Spaniard.

Oddly,  Nathan Trott is considered by some as too inexperienced to replace Roberto, yet Holland, with no first team experience, is apparently ready for the relegation fight.

Don’t get me wrong, if he’s good enough he should be playing. However, Diang is on loan having played 17 games for us last season with, until Lanzini’s injury, no thought of recalling him.

There is also a call for Josh Cullen to be recalled from his loan spell to replace the injured Noble. I think there are too many rose tinted glasses when it come’s to the youngsters. A mix of experience and youthful zest is required for relegation dog fights, pushing for Europe and the title.

I certainly don’t think that an unbalanced youthful side will get us out of the trouble we have somehow dug ourselves into. Lets face it, having just beaten Man United seven games ago, we were full of joy at a push for the European places on offer.

Now with Fab being injured we cannot buy a win. Worse still, we are creating very few goal scoring opportunities so are making incredibly hard for ourselves before we have even kick a ball. Confidence is low.

We need Haller to score one off his backside and the midfield to give some protection to the defence. Stick with the current team but bring back Oggy instead of The General.

This is a team which should not be anywhere near relegation but we have heard that before with WHU teams!
