David Moyes may make the decision to play Said Benrahma from the start of Thursday night’s match in Germany.

This is a game which has to be won and the only time we looked likely to do so after falling behind for the second time in London was when was when Benny boy arrived off the bench.

I have had plenty to say about the former Brentford winger and not much of it good but there’s a time and a place and this may be his moment.

There were several of them against the Germans when he arrived as a 66th minute sub. He drew fouls and produced some trickery which caused real alarm within the German defence.

And he came close to being a match changer when from a Rice free kick he hit the top of the Frankfurt post.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get a start probably at the expense of Lanzini who certainly wasn’t at his best against Arsenal on Sunday.

The players trained ahead of their departure today but there was reportedly no sign opf Ben Johnson who we reported yesterday has only a fifty fifty chance of playing.

Our likely team: Areola Coufal, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek, Benrahma, Fornals, Bowen, Antonio.
