CandH Exclusive: Coufal’s predicted return

Vladi Coufal is set to be on the Hammers sidelines for the next six weeks.

Having undergone successful surgery on a groin issue, the right back is set to miss the remaining matches in March which of course rules him out of Europa Trophy action.

The Czech defender was reported to have come through his time under the knife successfully by the official site but the early signs are that he will be missing until the middle of April .

His return looks set to be against Brentford away on the 9th of next month or Burnley at the london stadium a week later.

That means we will be relying on Ben Johnson – who has just seen a two year option on his deal extended by the club – and Ryan Fredericks who looked in dreadful form against Newcastle although in fairness he wasn’t alone.

Johnson is probably the more likely starter on Sunday against Wolves.
