West Ham are looking around at other possibilities to replace Declan Rice replacement- an issue regularly in West Ham news – after studying £160k a week Kalvin Phillip’s injury track record.
David Moyes attempted to sign the former Leeds midfielder before he agreed a deal with Manchester City at around £40 million.
However, he has made just five appearances for City in the Premier League this term, including their 2-0 win over us, and missed two months of the season with a shoulder injury.
Last season he was out for four months with a hamstring problem after an absence of a month 20/21 with a calf issue. He also missed another five weeks in that season when at Leeds – again with a shoulder injury.
His record contrasts starkly against Declan’s who has barely missed a game since he arrived in the Hammers side and at £160k a week personal terms the Hammers are right to look in other directions.
