ClaretandHugh is to join forces with the Football Supporters Federation (FSF).

Although we are first and foremost – and always will be –  a West Ham news website, raising supporter related issues to wider audience has been one of the cornerstones of our online offering since we stared this operation.

Last week we applied to become associate members of the FSF and hope to fairly represent the views of nearly 48,000 registered to this website.

We don’t claim to be a democratically elected body or to speak for all West Ham supporters but we receive lots of feedback from our army of readers to understand real supporter issues. In August the site received 1.3 million unique visitors to this website.

The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) is the democratic organisation representing the rights of fans and arguing the views of football supporters in England and Wales.

The FSF campaigns for safe standing, lower ticket prices and the protection of our clubs. They were instrumental in capping Premier League away ticket prices to £30 for this season.

ClaretandHugh have been invited to attend two upcoming meetings in October, one with all London Clubs supporter groups to meet with the Met Police Football unit to discuss policing of football in the capital and the other,  a specific meeting to discuss the upcoming West Ham v Chelsea league cup league between the police and the FSF.

We will asking for your supporter feedback before attending FSF meetings.
