Carabao pre-recorded draw gets protest vote

Frank McAvennie has led the chorus of stunned amazement at the circumstances under which the Carabao Cup quarter Final draw was conducted.

After a delay to the planned live event on TV because of apparent technical problems, the draw was pre recorded and released via the media.

Now come on that’s not great particularly when the final four matches amazingly saw none of the top four clubs – Arsenal, Chelsea or the two Manchester clubs drawn against each other!

Now there’s no suggestion that there’s anything awry but Supermac clearly wasn’t happy with the way the sponsors had mishandled the whole affair.

He was quickly out on Twitter declaring:

He was joined betting firm Paddy Power who tweeted:

Here’s a suggestion Carabao. You wanna grab a handful of credibility back – how about contacting one of the thousands of radio stations to draw it again.

After all you did promise a LIVE event
