Andy Carroll is bemused at reports linking him with a mega money move to the Chinese Super League. Reports suggested the striker was a £20 million target for clubs in China’s top flight but Carroll said he did not want to leave West Ham saying he was “settled” in East London.

Carroll responding to the rumours told Sky Sports cameras:  “No, no, I don’t know where that came from. I’m happy, I’m settled. Obviously, in the past I’ve done a lot of things but I’ve settled down here. It’s great, I love the club. I think the staff, fans, players, and the area I live, everything’s perfect.”

The Daily Express previously suggested that Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou R&F both wanted to take the injury prone striker to the Chinese Super League in January. The report claimed both were willing to make him one of the best paid players on the planet by offering £300,000 per week basic.
