Carroll/Randolph probe – the club’s position!

The probe into the player’s night out which allegedly ended at dawn for Andy Carroll and Darren Randolph is understood to have been headed up by the manager.

But a top club source told us this morning that whatever the outcome the decision will be backed at board level.

Carroll and Randolph were claimed to have been in The Market Porter pub after it opened at 6 am and at around noon  at a Pizza Parour in Shoreditch after the Bilic-sanctioned players’ evening evening bonding session.!

However, ClaretandHugh understands that the manager will listen carefully to the duo’s version of events before coming to any conclusion on the matter.

There is unlikely to be any club statement but the boss  is likely to cover the matter in his press conference ahead of the match against Crystal Palace a week on Sunday.

We were told by our source: “The club will abide by any decision which comes from the investigation.”
