Sources close to Manuel Lanizni claim a major charm offensive is required by the new manager and the board when he returns from the World Cup.  The Argentian signed a four deal and with an option for a further two years in March 2o16 said to be worth £35,000 per week.

Despite much talk of an improved contract doubling the playmaker weekly wage to around £70,000 per week nothing has transpired leaving his advisors and representatives frustrated it is claimed.

Although long-term rumours of a £50m bid from Liverpool have come to nothing a person who claims they are close to player says the board and new manager must not be complacent on his contract situation and they show him the love in way of improved terms when he returns.

West Ham players like Javier Hernandez, Andy Carroll, Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio, Pablo Zabaleta are said to earn more than twice what Lanizni gets and both Joe Hart and Patrice Evra earned more than twice what the Argentian earns.

The final decision will inevitably come down to Manuel Pellegrini but if he wants to build a team around him with Arnautovic he might need to splash the cash.
