It may not be West Ham news but Chelsea’s parting of ways with manager Graham potter may well tempt the Hammers hierarchy into making an offer for the former Brighton boss.

As Hughie mentioned in the Brendan Rodgers article below, West Ham’s board have been bemoaning the lack of managerial options to replace David Moyes with.  David Sullivan is believed to be an admirer of Potter and maybe his surprise availability will tempt the Irons co-owner.

Potter signed a long-term deal at Chelsea in September, penning a five-year deal to replace Thomas Tuchel at the helm.

Since then, things haven’t gone to plan for the ex-Brighton manager. Potter has lost 10 games in the Premier League already this season, with Chelsea sitting in 11th in the table.

The West London club made the following statement: “Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition.

“In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.”
