City looks Iron’s last hurrah

Sofiane Fegouli could be making his last appearance in an Irons shirt should he – as expected – line up against Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

The general view inside the club is that manager Slaven Bilic will stick with the team that “has changed his life” over the last two games.

Top wins over Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough have given the season a completely different look and the view inside the club is that the manager is bound to stick with the same side that did so well at Boro in particular.

But new signing Robert Snodgrass is going to be named in the squad for City and is very likely to make his first appearance  at some stage – probably midway through the second half.

With agents busy trying to get Feghouli away to Roma, and other clubs interested, it look likely that the Algerian will either be gone or slip way down the pecking order after Wednesday nights game.

Bilic was desperate to land ‘Snoddy’ after seeing his summer signings fail in the right wing position when Michail was required in a different position.

And the former Hull player will become  first choice for the position when those circumstances arise in the future.

One source said: “The two wins have changed Slaven’s life” as we now look safe and with Snodgrass on the right we have a proven Premier League player with a decent track record. ”
