West Ham supporters remain entirely in the dark over a final decision on ‘digital season tickets’  and COVID protocols with just two weeks until the return of fans at the London Stadium for the Betway Cup against Atalanta.

Earlier this week Claret and Hugh were told that the Ticket Office were awaiting protocols due to be issued by the Premier League by the end of the week

The club claimed they have been consulting their supporters and their feedback will be brought back to the table insisting they have not finalised their ticket process for the coming season.

With two weeks before the first game, three weeks until the start of the new season and just 30 days before the first Premier League home match at the London Stadium time is fast running out.

Those in the media office attempting to answer our questions reckoned a decision was due from the PL by the weekend but when we inquired today we were met with total silence by the same people.

It seems that maybe the issue is being kicked down the road as a level of procrastination of those continues despite the issue worrying a number of fans.

Even ClaretandHugh’s  lawyer revealed that ideally a choice of  a season ticket should be offered but there has been no mention that will be the case by the club and one may have expected it by now!.

A report in the Evening Standard last week says the Premier League are planning talks with its clubs and the Government regarding what the protocols will be for fans returning to matches this season. Covid-19 restrictions in the UK were eased on Monday as the Government moved to Step 4 of their roadmap out of the pandemic.

The situation, however, is still unclear as to what protocols will be in place for fans ahead of the new Premier League season, which kicks off on August 13th.
