Confident David Moyes is convinced the Hammers have what it takes to climb the table.

There have been few signs on the pitch that we are doing anything much other than struggling but the managers is taking all his cues from the training ground where he seems delighted with that he is seeing.

Words of course are cheap and we await with big interest to see if the lads can carry the same spirit and determination onto the the field as the boss claims he is seeing at Rush Green.

It’s hard to be overly optimistic given the next two games but of we can even escape without a battering that will obviously see confidence rising among the squad.

The manager decided against giving a press conference yesterday claiming that he  had covered most of the points he could make before the cancellation due to Storm Ciara.

But talking at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/february/18-february/david-moyes-positive-team-news-manchester-city-confidence the manager said: “I’ve been really pleased with the application of the players since I came in. I think the players have been spot on, I really do.

It’s not for the want of trying, it’s not for their effort that they are putting in at this present time. I have been really impressed by how they’ve gone about it.

What we need to improve on is the quality, our results, our performances, and more importantly than anything, we have to win.

I’m more than confident we will climb the table. I think the players here are more than capable. I think we have got a good group.

I think they are all fully aware of the situation we’re in and the improvement we need to make to make sure we’re not in the bottom three, and I’m sure come the end we will do.”
