Vladimir Coufal wants to win every game he plays in for West Ham and absolutely hates losing.

After West Ham lost an FA Cup tie at Old Trafford after extra-time. Coufal was the last player to leave the field, hiding his head under his shirt in upset.

His emotions were on show again at the final whistle when the 28-year-old Czech was on his haunches covering his face with his hands while visibly upset at the defeat.

Post-match  David Moyes was asked about his right-back’s reaction to the defeat and he said: “He is a great character Vladimir and thinks we should be winning all of the games, It doesn’t really matter who he comes up against he is going to try and do the best he can.

“He has been great for us and he is a terrific player but also a terrific boy to have around and that is the sort of thing that goes through the squad and through the players is a great self-belief.”

Claret and Hugh say:

Coufal is fast becoming a cult hero amongst West Ham supporters and really wears his heart on his sleeve. This is the kind of player we worship when losing or winning means so much personally. What a bargain for £5.5m from Slavia Prague and one of the best right backs this club has had in years. Coufal we salute you!
