David Moyes is in no hurry to throw Said Benrahma into the team confirming he will give the Algerian his debut when he thinks he is ready.

The manager explained in his presser today that we are unlikely to see the new signing tomorrow against Manchester City as the coaching staff bid to get him up to Premier League speed thus recalling his approach with the January signing from Hull.

Bowen signed for the Hammers from the Tigers on transfer deadline day on 31st January.

His debut came 19 days later against Manchester City but only for ten minutes as an 80th-minute substitute.

His second game was five days later against Liverpool but only had six minutes on the pitch at the end of the game.

Late February he started against Southampton but was substituted off in the 78th minute during the final game before lockdown.

Bowen had to wait until 20th June to get his first full ninety-minute game against Wolves and the rest, as they say, is history.

Moyes is often a creature of habit so expect to see a number of short substitute appearances for Benrahma for the foreseeable future.
