Cresswell update

Aaron Cresswell is expected to face a late fitness test on his injured back ahead of the game against Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Seagulls arrive without a win in nine games – seven draws and two defeats – and although the left back is expected to be ok the manager will take no chances.

Cress cannoned into a goalpost making an important clearance against Manchester City and left the action to be replaced by Vladi Coufal.

Afterward the manager explained that whilst he was okay that his back was stiff and that he went into a spasm and at that point was having trouble moving his leg

Should he fail to make the match Moyes will need to decide whether to continue with Coufal in the left back role or switch Ben Johnson from the right side with him being sufficiently versatile to take on the role.
