Former Czech Radio correspondent and football pundit Jiří Hošek says he is rather sceptical about the financial scale to which Daniel Křetínský will and can invest in West Ham.

Hosek explains that despite being the fourth richest Czech, making such a majority acquisition would eat up a very large share of the Kretinsky’s overall money he has at his disposal.

He says that he has no doubt something will happen with the reported 27 per cent but doubts a full takeover will happen.

Hosek agrees it would make sense for Mr Křetinský to move his main headquarters from Prague to London as it would help him to make his mark on the British scene, in order to do further business in this cpuntry.

The Czech pundit also thinks the deal could help sign a Sparta Prague player saying: “Adam Hložek is very much on the horizon for West Ham”

Hosek rules out the possibility of both West Ham and Sparta Prague having the same owner adding “I have to say that there is one major obstacle. Namely, the rule of UEFA is that you cannot have two clubs in UEFA competitions in the same year while having the same owner.”
