West Ham Joint Chairman David Gold has hinted there could be another signing before Thursday.

Questioned about loans by a West Ham supporter on Twitter the Chairman replied “You can only register 25 players and we have 25 good players with a nice balance of young and experience but it could change tomorrow. dg”

Earlier this week he said  “This is the best 25 squad of players I’ve ever been involved with including the management team. dg”

West Ham currently has 17 senior non-homegrown players on their books, 7 home-grown and at a number of players under 21.

This leaves just one homegrown squad place remaining so if the Hammers want to make additions to the squad before Thursday either players need to sold, loaned out or left out of the squad altogether.

One option is Xande Silva who continues to recover from emergency surgery and is unlikely to be match fit until October but there could be other candidates too.

One fan asked the Chairman yesterday whether he could go to bed yet referring to Gold’s hilarious “Don’t go to bed’ tweet on deadline day several years ago to which Gold answered yesterday  “No  dg”

It could be an interesting 36 hours.
