West Ham co-chairman David Gold appeared to have a slight dig at West Brom’s brand of football under Tony Pullis by making an observation that loyal West Ham fans stayed until the end of the match while Baggies fans didn’t and left early.

Gold wrote on his twitter account. “Second clean sheet on the bounce, first away point, West Ham fans stayed and cheered their team to the very end most WBA fans didn’t. dg”

He added “Today’s game against WBA was poor but we were the better team and should have won. dg”

One fan messaged Gold to say ‘Have to hand it to Slaven. Under enormous pressure, he’s changed things and found a defensive system that works’

Gold replied “Agreed dg”  Today he added: “We are out of the bottom three, a lot to do to climb the table but it feels better. dg”
