In line with advice from the relevant health authorities, David Moyes is self-isolating after coming into direct contact with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal on Saturday. There are no signs of illness whatsoever and the manager is well.

The manager greeted his former player at the Emirates last Saturday and they were photographed shaking and hugging.

The manager’s self-isolation is only a precaution and follows the Premier League statement that the league will be suspended to 4th April at the earliest.

Arsenal made the shock announcement that Arteka had tested positive less an hour after the Premier League released a statement that fixtures would continue.  Chelsea later announced that their winger Callum Hudson-Odoi had also tested positive for Covid-19.

Everton has also advised a player to self-isolate after he reported Corobnavirus type symptoms.

West Ham have closed their Rush Green training ground until a deep clean has taken place. The club’s Chadwell Heath and Little Heath training bases, as well as the London Stadium, will also be deep cleaned.
