Dawson mystery deepens

David Moyes has rejected the chance to sort out what appears to be more than a rumour over Craig Dawson – a mystery looks to more the case!

The central defender has missed the start of the season with injury but is now being linked with moves to either Wolves or Villa despite that.

The Hammers boss however is unable, he said, to answer questions on that front despite admitting he is in conversation with the player all the time.

When questioned by reporters on whether he could explain on the situation being complicated he shook his head but then declared: “I have spoken to him many times. I speak to him all the time.

I am communicating with him right now. You just need to take it as that. If there is an answer in two days’ time we can give you the reasons behind it.”

And asked if he was actively looking for a replacement he added: “Possibly, yeah. It would be remiss of me if I wasn’t.”
