Day of reckoning and two big changes needed Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini is surely in last chance saloon chance and only a massive change of approach can save him but I’m not holding my breath he will show the nous required to do the necessary.

He has shown no willingness to make obvious changes at front and back but today, if he has the remotest chance of wanting to hang on at the club for a bit longer, he has to make two big formation changes  my view.

How he has stayed with the same defensive formation as the team has regularly shipped three goals a game is something nobody can possibly answer.

The reasons are only inside his head where a muddled mess of idea on what his best team seems to exist but today he needs to be bold and courageous.

We need three at the back in Diop, Ogbonaa and Balbuena with Fredericks and Cresswell either side as the wing backs.

Rice and Noble are set for the holding and defensive roles with Snodgrass in front of them behind Antonio and Haller.

That’s my team because neither Fornals or Anderson have offered enough for me despite the Spanish midfielder improving since Wolves.

I’m not expecting to see my hopes answered. I’m expecting a defeat as a result and I’m expecting him to be sacked if so, should there be any justice in this world.

My team: Martin, Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Creswell; Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Haller, Antonio.
