Deal almost done as Irons meets Fredericks agent

Ryan Fredericks was this morning closing in on his move to West Ham.

Despite inaccurate reports that he is already an Iron, the Fulham free agent has yet to officially put pen to paper.

The 25 year old, however, is expected to be on board by tomorrow (Tues) after David Sullivan held talks with his representatives today.

A highly placed London Stadium source told ClaretandHugh: “The club met his advisers today. The discussions were very positive and we confidently expect it to be concluded by tomorrow.”

The Hammers have been in pole position to sign the player following his refusal to agree a new deal with the newly promoted Cottagers.

And the club appears to have beaten off all rivals for the highly rated 25 year old after Southampton and Crystal Palace both showed an interest.

Manuel Pellegrini gave his stamp of approval to a deal which has been on the cards since David Moyes’ era.
