Dec forms Irons ‘band’ and sticks two fingers up at other clubs
Declan Rice was the guy who became so excited about the Irons win over Spurs that he posted the brilliant image of the Hammers band.
The picture is the most amusing of the weekend showing Jarrod Bowen behind the mike, Dec on drums, Jesse Lingard on clarinet and Pablo Fornals on guitar.
And more important than that is that it showed the new captain is as dedicated to West Ham as any player possibly could be.
It’s fair to say that Dec joined the Hammers band and stuck two fingers up to other clubs to which – for the sake of a cheap headline – he becomes relentlessly linked.
When Lingard put the home side 2-0 up shortly after half-time, the midfielder celebrated by pretending to play musical instruments with Rice on the drums and Pablo Fornals on the guitar.
And not to be outdone goal scorer Michail Antonio added his own clever tribute when retweeting Dec’s post adding adding his own post which declared ‘Backroom Moyes!
The excitement inside the squad has been clearly demonstrated as the players and fans become focused on a possible top four place.
