The waiting is almost over as at 12.30pm this afternoon Manuel Pellegrini announces his first starting West Ham XI to kick off the 2018/2019 Premier League season.

Will Fabianski or Adrian get the nod in between the sticks?

Will Pellegrini prefer the pace of Ryan Fredericks over the experience of Pablo Zabaleta?

Who will partner Angelo Ogbonna in the centre of defence? Issa Diop or Fabian Balbuena?

Has Aaron Cresswell recovered from his pre-season injury or will Manuel prefer the attacking pace of Arthur Maskuaku on the left?

Will Declan Rice get his big chance in defensive midfield ahead of Pedro Obiang?

Assuming Jack Wilshere is fit who will partner him? Will Mark Noble remain in the starting lineup as our captain?

If Felipe Anderson is fit our record signing should get a guaranteed place but is Yarmolenko still suffering from a hip injury or will he hand a chance to Michail Antonio to fill in?

Mark Arnautovic should be an automatic start for any West Ham starting lineup but he has Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez waiting for their chance up front or to partner Arnie in a different formation.
