Hearing players criticise refs ins a very rare occurrence indeed. Hearing them cuss one in the manner Declan did is something I’ve never heard before.
Using the F word and alleging he had taken bribes and was corrupt is extraordinary in anybody’s terms – player just don’t do it …UNTIL now.
We are talking about a peaceful individual who says all the right things at the right time but has chosen to go right out on a limb on a night when his disappointment was intense as we’ve ever known it.
We have all heard far too much about him moving on for far too long and hearing him talking like this and also explaining “we” want to be in Europe again next season tells us all we need to know.
