The Daily Telegraph claims that Andy Carroll could be facing a three-month layoff after surgery which could mean West Ham won’t see him for the remainder of the season while Manuel Lanzini could be out for at least four weeks meaning he might not return to action until March.

The Telegraph report claims: “News on Sunday that Carroll will be out for three months after scans confirmed a hairline fracture of his foot, while Lanzini could be out for up to a month after sustaining a hamstring injury against Bournemouth.”

The Hammers face crucial games against Palace, Watford and Liverpool in the next few weeks and must now do so without their main creative player in Lanzini who has partnered the inform Marko Arnautovic games in recent games.

The news will put more pressure on the board to find a midfield player in the January transfer window.
