David Gold is hoping against hope that Ravel Morrison becomes a Boleyn ‘lifer.’

The midfielder – as he did at Birmingham City on last season – is starting to tear up trees at Loftus Road.

Having scored four goals in his last two games the England under-21 is beginning to find the form that made him a sensation earlier in the season.

And the co-chairman is delighted that’s the case explaining: “It’s great news for him and us.

“Trust me, there is nothing I’d love more than to see Ravel come back to us in pre-season and score a bundle of goals.

“That would be fantastic  and I can honestly say that I’d love to see him play for the club for the rest of his life.

There’s no questioning his ability – he can be a truly great player but he’s in the right place for now – regaining his confidence.”
