David Gold has already given Claret and Hugh a full interview on why he believes Slaven Bilic would refuse any chance of becoming England manager.

And it was a piece picked up by The Mirror, Sky Sports News, the BBC and Mail among many other media outlets which was great because the message went out there far and wide.

Now he has been asked the same question on Twitter and comes up with a fabulous one liner which really needs to be reported.

A worried follower who clearly hadn’t read the interview but had heard the rmour on TV said: “@davidgold …just heard on itv football that out manager slaven is being talked about being next England manager what you think about this.”

The co chairman responded: “I think Slaven would make a terrible England manager and I’m sure every West Ham fan would agree with me. dg
