Diangana gets massive vote of confidence

Grady Diangana has received a massive vote of confidence with over 48% of supporters in a snap poll saying he is the man to replace the injured Yarmolenko in Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Robert Snodgrass was voted second with 25.5% of the supporter vote followed by Michail Antonio on 12%.

Javier Hernandez 8% Andy Carroll 2.5% Jack Wilshere 2% and Lucas Perez 1% completed the Claret and Hugh poll results.

The 20 year old West Ham Academy product joined the youth system at age 12 after moving to London from Democratic republic of Congo with his family at the age of 4.

Diangana made his first team debut less than a month ago when he started in the EFL Cup against Macclesfield Town, playing the full game and scoring two goals in an 8–0 victory at the London Stadium, in which fellow debutants Conor Coventry and Joe Powell also featured. Three days later, Diangana made his first Premier League appearance, coming on as a 93rd minute substitute for Felipe Anderson in a 3–1 home victory against Manchester United.

On Saturday Diangana was introduced as a 40th substitute for the injured Yarmolenko who ruptured his archilles tendon.
