Hammers loanee Grady Diangana has caught the eye of England under 21 manager Aidy Boothroyd after his fine start to life at West Bromwich Albion.

The Hammers midfielder – with three goals under his belt for the Baggies in four games – has been called into Boothroyd’s squad for the 2021 UEFA U21 Championship qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo.

Diangana is thriving under the former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic whose enthusiasm to sign the midfielder is paying off in a big way with his goals helping to lift WBA into fourth place on 13 points.

And the good news for Hammers fans is that Claret and Hugh has learned this morning that the 21 year old has a release clause in his Albion contract which allows him to  return to the London Stadium should Manuel Pellegrini need him.

Grady is the second Hammer to join the squad with Nathan Trott, who is currently performing well on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

The Young Lions’ qualifying campaign gets underway in Istanbul on Friday, when they take on Turkey, before they return home to play Kosovo at Hull City’s KCOM Stadium on Monday evening.
