Julian Dicks has warned that it’s going to take time for the players to adjust to manager Slave Bilic’s ways!

And he joked that he hopes the boss if he could please  ‘speak up a bit’ as he’s finding it difficult to hear everything he says.

Dicks, guesting on Hammer Time with Don Hutchison (http://bit.ly/1IN2Kn2) said: “Slaven is very intelligent football-wise and he has a style to which he wants players to adapt.

“These are quality players and professionals who are very well paid so it’s expected. It’s going to take time but he’s a manager who wants players to go in and give all they have. Yes, you are going to lose matches but if you work hard he will look after you all the time.”

And he added: “New players will need to to adapt to the style of play and that will take a bit of time too but that is what will be required.”

King Julian also told Aaron Cresswell that he had no need to apologise for his mistakes in the match against Bournemouth, when he was responsible for a couple of goals.

“There’s no need to apologise,” said Dicks. “Just to give a reaction in the next game. We all had or have bad games. The thing to do is to put it right. There’s no requirement to say ‘sorry.’ ”

Were it to be the manager saying it Dicks probably wouldn’t hear it anyway!

And he added: “The boss needs to speak up a bit especially if there’s a train passing by! He’s very quietly spoken.”
