Dimi is the PL assist and chances king

Dimitri Payet is the assist and chances king of the Premier league.  His late assist on Saturday which Winston Reid slotted home in the 94th minute was his 13th in 2016 and his fourth this season. His fourth assist puts him joint top with Chelsea’s Matic and  Man City’s De Bruyne this season.

Over the whole of 2016 Payet is way out in front with 13 assists to his name!

Dimi also tops the most chances created table with an incredible 29 chances this season followed closely by Southampton’s Tadic who has 28 to his name.

Against Sunderland the 29 year old completed 53 passes, created 7 chances and 6 take-ons before his assist which led to the only goal of the game.

For those so-called pundits who have questioned Payet’s commitment to West Ham or his form this season since returning from the Euros these statistics show he is still one of the best players in the Premier League.
