Despite being relegated with Fulham the striker still managed to help himself to 11 goals and 3 assists accounting for almost a third of his team’s goal tally in a disappointing season for the Cottagers.
The 24-year-old joined Newcastle from RSC Anderlecht in 2015 for a transfer fee of £16.65 he then later moved from the Magpies to Fulham in the summer of 2018 for £18.18m.
With four years remaining on his contract, Fulham is thought to value their striker at a minimum of £22m but are hoping that stiff competition could push up that price further with reports of bids up to £30m being quoted.
Spurs and Southampton have also been linked with the 47-capped Serbia international so it appears that the Hammers could have a fight on their hands if they want to make Mitrovic a Hammer. A club insider speaking to Claret and Hugh over Email has put the chances of signing Mitrovic at no more than five per cent as it stands currently.
