Everton have agreed to pay the whole of Enner Valencia’s wages during his loan spell at the club.

Such was Toffees manager Ronald Koeman’s enthusiam to take our mis-firing striker that he gave the thumbs up to paying the entire personal terms in order to get the player into Goodison Park.

Koeman left his move late with ClaretandHugh being told by Hammers sources that there was no contact from the Merseyside club until “earlier this week.”

And once talks had started there was no stopping them with the Toffees agreeing to everything the Irons wanted.

We were told: “The first contact came at the start of the week and it was clear that this was going to be a deal that would suit both sides.

“The £1.5 million loan fee involved was agreed along with Everton taking on the full responsibility for wages and an agreement that we would make money were the deal to become permanent with a price of £14.5m being agreed.”
