Roberto: Did well in the Carabao Cup match at Newport defying those who reckoned he looked a worrying addition in pre-season 6
Zaba: One run out against Newport and great to see a feller again whom I reckon is the best full back at the club even now 7
Diop: Slow start to the campaign and probably – with everybody else – had his best match of the season against Norwich after his worst against Newport. For all that impossible to drop and looking likely to improve as season develops. 6
Balbuena: Out of favour at the moment as the boss looks for a left foot/right foot partnership at the heart of defence and hasn’t been involved since opening day at PL level when struggling. Let’s hope international duty for Paraguay helps his cause 4
Cresswell: The guy has well and truly lost his way over the last 18 months or so and hasn’t had a sniff since opening day. It will take something disappointing or unexpected to see him get the chance of impressing again. 4
Rice: He’s been great since Nobes returned to the team but was seriously overworked in the opening games when the skipper was missing. Getting right back on the case now. 7
Snodgrass: Most of us have learned to love Snoddy but with only two sub appearances behind him plus Newport you wonder at 32 how long he will be around. Can’t fault him for aggression and energy but he has left something to be desired so far. 5
Wilshere: Sadly continues to struggle and frankly the real problems is the lack of speed which you wonder whether he will ever recapture given the injuries. 5
Noble: Sometimes you don’t know how badly you have missed somebody until they have returned. No denying the difference he has made to the team alongside Declan and taken so much weight off the youngster. 8
Fornals: Patience is the key it seems with the £25 million Spaniard making a slow start. Trust Pelle are the words that spring to mind 4
Antonio: Tragedy struck as he was looking at the peak of his form. He had become the super sub we have been waiting for and we all wish him well for the speediest of recoveries 7
Anderson: The Brazilian had a match of dreams against Norwich and truly looks as good as you see at this level. He is going to be a game changer in many games this season 8
Yarmolenko: He admits he’s still not back to his best but Norwich was a big turning point for the guy hopefully with a decent display and great goal 6
Hernandez: One goal – virtually laid on a plate at Brighton by Lanzini – but not much beyond that and now gone for around £8 million. Good business. 4
