West Ham – like many other clubs including Arsenal – have given up any hope of ever attracting Eddie Howe to the London Stadium.

The Bournemouth boss – having been in charge of the Cherries currently for seven years and two before spending an ill-fated spell at Burnley has absolutely no intention of leaving the south coast.

The Hammers are not looking for a Pellegrini replacement but were the moment come when they do, Howe will definitely not be in the frame.

He was wanted by Arsenal a couple or three years back but he is so happy and settled on the south coast – a situation known throughout the game – there have been no approaches to the club for permission to speak with him.

A well placed Hammers source told ClaretandHugh: “It’s one of the best known things in football. He wants no other club and to be honest it’s great to see such loyalty.

“There is no mood for change at our club right now but were that to change Eddie would not be among the candidates simply because he would not want to be. He’s entirely happy where he is.”
