Exclusive: United’s new Lingard offer revealed

Manchester United will offer Jesse Lingard a new deal worth £140,000-per-week at the end of his loan deal with the Irons.
But sources close to the situation have now informed C&H they will demand an answer from him before the European Championships start on June 11 –
The on-loan midfielder has left talks with his parent club on the backburner and United respect it to the extent that Jesse is currently focused on helping Irons secure a top-four finish and Champions League football.
The Manchester giants last month appointed John Murtough as the club’s first director of football and will ask to know Lingard’s decision before the European Championships get underway, so they can plan accordingly for a player heading into the final year of his contract.
United are said to be “delighted” at how Lingard has performed since he elected to join the Hammers on loan back in January, causing a major rethink among boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his backroom staff.
Our sources in Manchester state: “The money is there for Lingard but it remains to be seen if this will be enough to talk him into staying.
“The timing of the Euros has complicated matters, as United has a lot of business to conclude in a shorter amount of time.
“There are discussions another potential midfield spot could be opened up to Jesse if the club decides to sell Juan Mata.
“Mata’s deal is up but United have an option to extend it by 12 months and they can then ask for a fee this summer.”
Lingard presently earns around £110,000-per-week and United have told Solskjaer he can keep any funds he raises towards his own transfer spending – another reason why £30m-rated Lingard will be pressed for a quick decision.
