Stoke City keeper Jack Butland has once again been linked to a move to West Ham.

ITK ExWHUemployee on the West Ham Way podcast said: “We are apparently looking to sign another keeper, possibly because we’ve realised how dire the situation is.

There is talk of trying to get Jack Butland from Stoke, potentially sign him on loan with a view to a permanent deal, obviously if you are going to get him on loan they would have to pay a large fee.”

Butland joined Stoke in 2013 from Birmingham for £3.42m but remained on loan in the midlands.

Further loan periods were made at Barnsley, Leeds and Derby before his return to Stoke in 2014.

Stoke once put a £30m valuation on their 26-year-old player last summer but there were no takers in the Premier League.

Both Crystal Palace and Bournemouth were keen on the keeper but not prepared to pay the asking price.

Back in 2018 West Ham were favourites to sign him as a replacement to Adrian before Fabianski was signed.
