West Ham and Tottenham have each been fined £20,000 after they admitted an FA misconduct charge and accepted the standard penalty.

We learned earlier in the day the Hammers had no intention of protesting the charge claiming that there was no defence for either club.

The clubs have been punished after Saturday’s Premier League clash was marred by a late melee involving players from both sides.

We were pressing hard for an equaliser in stoppage time when the momentum was totally stopped by the all in melee when the players clashed after a foul by Hammers forward Andy Carroll
